your size does not tell anyone what your health is, literally, it doesnt. dont even come back at me with “okay but those REALLY FAT PEOP-” stop, just dont, which leads me to the next point
even IF your size indicated your health, since WHEN do we MAKE FUN OF AND BELITTLE PEOPLE FOR THEIR BAD HEALTH? do you regularly laugh at people with lung cancer who got it from cigarettes? liver cancer who got it from drinking? skin cancer who got it from tanning beds??? I didnt mean to only choose cancers but you get my point
and this one, which I think everyone needs to seriously sit down and drill it into their heads, and really, really truly understand it:
Telling people that fat = unhealthy and thin = healthy is dangerous. Thin people can get all of those “classically fat” diseases, yes they sure can. And telling people that as long as youre getting thin, its better than staying fat, no matter what is ALSO dangerous. crash diets, starving yourself (which oftentimes leads to binging, also dangerous), using diet pills, not to mention wasting hundreds of dollars on stupid workout equipment that guarantees instant weight loss, all of these things are not necessary, and not good for you.
and consider the next time you tell someone “Im just worried about your health” try to consider their MENTAL health, which suffers every time you tell them they arent worth anything until theyre skinny.
oh and one last thing, the bmi index everyone uses? its fucking bullshit so lets just stop using it, thanks!
“Equius is so werd!” said the Homestuck fan as the troll who has the strength to put someone through a steel wall does nothing but protect his moirail and provide a pair of legs for a lowblood cripple and a new arm for the meanest troll of all and spends the entire story trying to protect everyone and doesn’t hurt a fly.

“Stop trying to “get it together.” The biggest lie we’re told when we’re growing up is that soon as we’re adults, as soon as we’re in college, finish college, get that job, have that steady income, find that someone special, “find ourselves,” find that perfect house, get that retirement fund, have those children, everything will fall into place. Here’s a secret: it won’t. Every new development in your life, good or bad, big or small, will come with its own very special set of challenges. The sooner you accept that, the better off you’ll be. But the myth is perpetuated throughout life, perhaps now more than ever with happy status updates on Facebook and blushing bride/happy multi-tasking mommy blog posts. What these success stories don’t tell you is what is going on behind closed doors. They don’t tell you that your friend who is so over the moon with her new baby had to apply for food stamps. They don’t tell you that your fantastic, involved professor struggles with depression. They don’t tell you that your happily married friend still has nightmares about her abusive ex. They don’t tell you the cousin who just got that jealousy-inducing job opportunity is thinking of breaking up with his boyfriend of 10 years. What closely interacting with people from all backgrounds on the Internet for over a decade has taught me is that no one “has it together” in the way we think they do. So stop trying to have that as your goal, because you are just setting yourself up for massive failure.”
